A Busy Evening

Last night, William and I was so busy....
*
*
First, we got to prepare for his Chinese dictation, which was a last minute preparation. Then, he got to practice for his speech on a topic about dinosaur, which he would need to present it at school the next day.
*
*
He was quite frustrated in memorizing the time when dinosaur existed and extincted, also several classification & names of the giant mammals etc. Some how, he managed to find his way to remember all those big numbers & and weird names at last.
*
*
After everything was wrapped up, he complained why he needs to do what-he-need-to-do at school right now.
*
*
From there, I started to lecture him so fluently, like I read it from a book or what....
*
*
"Everyone has something to do in certain age of his life time. Do you remember when you were a baby, all you need to do was sleep-eat-sleep-eat-play? Then, when you were 2-5, you were also like play-eat-sing-play-eat-sleep in the kindergarten, remember? So, now then you are 5-11, you can't play all the time, right, but need to learn more things, which is what you got to do in school right now"
*
*
I should have just stopped here...but I try to be clever and go on...
*
*
"See, when you are 12-18 later, you will have to learn even more things than you do now, not just more, but more difficult. If you still survive ok, then you will go to University at 18-22. After that, if you are good enough to get someone to hire you, you will earn money to support yourself. By then, you can buy whatever toys you like, I won't care. And then, you will find a girl, and get married...then you will have your own kids. At that time, you will need to work even harder to support your family, also, you will need to tutor your kids like what your daddy and I got to do now. And when your kids grow up, you will get old. Same thing will happen to daddy and I...when you and kor-kor grow up later, we will get old, then we will die...Got it?"
*
*
I said it like it was a piece of pie, with a grin ear-to-ear.
*
*
He asked me how many more years would that be, before I die. I said probably in another 20 more years or so. At first, he said 20 years is still a long time to go. But I poured him with cold water : Do you think so?
*
*
He thought for a while, then he started to weep : Stop it mommy. I don't want to talk this anymore. (Oh dear, I saw his eyes were all wet, tears rolled down from his cheek). He continue to complain : You are so bad, mommy, do you want to make me scream from a nightmare tonight? (still weeping...)
*
*
Before pacifying this crying boy, I just got to go to the toilet and laugh out first.
