Singapore Zoo - Part 1

Six years after the 1st visitation, we still choose to go to Singapore Zoo

Out of so many places that are suggested by our brother, I'm not quite understand why we choose the zoo? But one thing I'm sure, Singapore Zoo is the only zoo in this world that worth going for the 2nd times, or maybe 3rd or 4th times.

Ok, here we are again. My dad had followed us for the 1st time, and my mom this time. Sigh, things had changed a lot in this 6 years time.

He said he is not a good actor.

He said he is not very good in acting too...

So, the winner goes to...

Luckily we have bought the tickets from the bus conductor, this has saved us at least 30 minutes in lining up for the tickets at the counters.

The zoo is still as charm as before....

As usual, he's the one who told us where he wanted to go...

An shy monkey was hiding on a tree top above us.

This one is not too shy though...probably he thinks he has wore a mask on his face.

Nice meeting you, White Face Saki Monkey.

No kidding, there are some crocodiles in the river downs there...

Later then I know, that Ah Meng (阿明, circa 18 Jun 1960 - 8 Feb 2008)  was a female Sumatran Orangutan and tourism icon of Singapore. She was smuggled from Indonesia and kept illegally as a domestic pet before being recovered by a veterinarian in 1971. She was then 11 years old and was given a home at the Singapore Zoo.

Since then, Ah Meng was the head of her small clan. She lived in a large enclosure with about 20 other orangutans. She had 5 children and became a grandmother in 1990.

Ah Meng restaurant is quite big. This is just part of it.

The Orangutan enclosure.

Hi there, how are you?

"I'm very well, just feeling sleepy."

Our ticket has included the unlimited tram ride. Great, can rest my sore legs from time to time.

One can choose to ride on a zebra, or a leopard, no problem.

Busy planning for his route...

I have to say that taking the tram is a very lazy way to tour the zoo. Most of the time, one won't be able to get to see the animals from a good angle and for a long time.

So, one really need to get off the tram and walk. If you are lazy to walk, DO NOT go to the zoo...

Singapore is really a great place for holidays. So many things to do and see. Unfortunately our RM currency is so weak.. sigh...

Yeah, I like Singapore a lot now.
Am thinking to migrate there after we retire, haha...

Hopefully, our currency can catch up with S$ some years later.
