Day 3 - Dolphin Quay, Mandurah

Again, we had to pass through 30-40 traffic lights before we could check in to our apartment, located in Mandurah.

I don't know how the local people feel about all those traffic lights, but it's a waste of time to me. In my opinion, they should have replaced at least 3/4 of the traffic lights with round-about, to provide more flexibility to the road users than stopped helplessly in front of the lights.

At around 6pm, finally we have got the key to enter the apartment which husband had booked on line. The apartment is clean, spacious and equipped with everything we need from cooking to laundry.

Feel like home to me....

Our apartment is facing the canal. Many of our neighbours are having their own private boat parked in front of their apartment, so cool.

After resting for 30 minutes in the apartment, we went out for a walk. Husband said there is a Quay outside where we could take our dinner for the night.

Just crossed a road, and we were here in less than 5 minutes....

When I saw all those open air restaurants / cafes / bars facing the sea, I fell in love with this place.

Mandurah is the second-largest city in Western Australia and is located approximately 72 km (45 min) south of the state capital, Perth.

The city attracts a large number of tourists, including many international visitors. The city centre foreshore is home to a variety of wildlife including dolphins, pelicans, shags and an abundance of marine life like blue manna crab which has become synonymous with the area. Mandurah is also known for its protected waterways, beaches and boating and fishing activities.

Always a popular day-trip destination, Mandurah is a mix of inner city and semi-rural living. People come on holiday and then want to stay, which has resulted in Mandurah expanding to offer an exciting mix of residential developments, from family homes and modern apartments within new estates to luxurious homes nestled along numerous canal waterways.

One of Mandurah's greatest assets is its diverse and friendly community. Voted twice asWA's Top Tourism Town, Mandurah welcomes friends and family from around the globe to enjoy its relaxed coastal lifestyle.

When husband and I saw those apartments with great sea view, we felt very tempted to buy one unit for ourselves, let the estate management to lease it to the tourist for us. But thinking of our limited bullets, this idea has become one of our wishful thinking.

Anyway, it's good to come here though we knew we probably won't be coming back again.

Overlooking Dolphin Quay at different angle...

Husband said our dinner would be settled here, hurray !!

Another beautiful sun set....

Sitting here, enjoying dinner, admiring sun set was superb.

At around 7, the sun disappear from the horizon.

After dinner, we walked back to our apartment.

Our room, couldn't wait to go Zzzz.....

Hi Lynn, thanks for visiting my blog.

My husband is the one who book the apartment in Mandurah, he couldn't remember the exact website anymore, but you may search "Quality Crest Mandurah" for the apartment info.

Good luck, and I wish you a wonder holiday in Perth.
