Hyla

Several days ago, I called up a salesperson and she came over my house to demonstrate this cleaning system to me within 24 hours. I like her way of doing business.
*
*
The system looks great to me, without much hesitation and price negotiation, I had decided to buy one unit. The salesperson looked rather surprised with my quick decision. Only then, she knew I have a good reference for this system from my part time maid, who has been using this system for more than 5 years herself.

3 days later, a brand new system was delivered to my house. The same salesperson taught me very enthusiastically the way of cleaning by using with different brusher / header (I hope I can remember all these without checking its manual frequently).
*
*
Actually, I have been keeping my eyes over the home cleaning systems ever since we bought the new house last October. Before this unit, I have watched another demonstration of another system, using filter paper as filter.

Although using paper as filtering is more convenient (save the time in cleaning the water bowl after used), the filter paper specially designed for this purpose is not cheap. Whenever they raise the price of this filter paper, I just got to follow it. Furthermore, assuming I change filter paper once in 2 weeks or 3 weeks or a month, those dirt / dusts / germs / bacterias will be kept in the chamber for that long with the filter paper. Ahh...I just don't feel good about all this.
*
*
So, it's not very difficult to choose between the cleaning system that use water as filter or paper as filter. Wise housewife like me had chosen water (cough cough).

Besides the normal cleaning functions, this system can be used to clean the indoor air. This is especially useful to us as our new decorated house may release higher level of Formaldehyde gas from the new furniture etc. The salesperson had presented me with some data that Formaldehyde gas can be dissolved in water well, thus, can help to remove this colorless gas efficiently (Gosh, I have no idea of this though I'm a Chemistry graduate).

Welcome to our house, Hyla (what a beautiful name). I'm sure you will be a good "buddy" to me.*

Home Sweet Home

How time does fly, we have moved in to the new house for 10 days already.
*
*
There are still many things need to be done or bought in order to make the house 100% convenient & comfortable, but they are less urgent anyway. With the arrival of dining table and sofa one after the other, I would say all of the basic necessities are there already.

The cabinet set at piano is still not ready, sigh...

After waiting for 4 weeks, finally the sofa has arrived on time...

It's big enough for the 4 of us to sit on it comfortably without any "arguing".

The boys spend a lot of time at this special corner. I'll make it more cozy for them later on.

The dining table has arrived on time too, but it is not yet completed because...

we had rejected 2 parts due to visible scratches on the wooden surface. The new parts will be delivered to us next week.

The boys are so thrilled to the new environment of new home...

We need to continuously remind them not to play near the balcony area. Guess this is the bad point to have a balcony at high rise building.

Still spacious enough...

Glad to see they have more space to move around now, so do we.

Everything is good about the new house, except the open space / area that needed to be cleaned has become at least 6X bigger than before.

*
Next thing to do, I got to buy some equipment to help me in efficient cleaning....and this need to be done fast lo !!

Getting Ready to Move

After several days living without internet connection at our new home, finally it's been restored on last evening...So, I'm back.
*
*
I hate to say part of the furniture screwed up and jeopardized our moving-plan. About 30% of the furniture couldn't be fit to their place due to measurement error. After some reworks done on the spot for 2 consecutive days, they did slot them in somehow (amazingly), but with visible small damages here and there.
*
*
Although we are not asking for 100% perfection, any less than 80% is not acceptable. After many consideration, husband and I had decided to fully reject those parts which don't meet the standard. The furniture design company had no choice but to come to detach those rejected parts and return them to factory for repairing. We still don't know when they are going to replace the parts to us though we have been chasing after them in daily basis. Will see...
*
*
Anyway, these are just the bumps that didn't make moving-in impossible. Although 1-day in delay, the house cleaning and debugs carried on as per normal, and we moved in the new house officially on 3-Apr.

We are not superstitious people, but husband did invite his colleague, Walter who is a monk-to-be, came to our house on Sunday morning to do some rituals and chanting in the house before the stuffs were moved in.

I think it would be nice to take some photos of the house when it's still very new and very clean...

Kitchen would be my territory...Some of the things still need a little bit touch up for completion.

I will make that steamer-oven a built-in type later on, I think it will look nicer in this way.

The laundry area.

The store room.

The living area with the absence of sofa and dining table, spacious enough to us.

A special corner originally designed for everyone, but I think the kids will make it their own very fast.

This low cabinet, shall become the toy's and book's cabinet for the boys very soon too.

There should be another set of cabinet on the left. But due to its unacceptable condition, it had been detached and will be restored later on.

The dining area seems quite spacious.

The corridor leads way to rooms.

The master bedroom.

TV cabinet.

Yes, our queen size bed.

Our closet is the major failure of all. After some negotiation, we agreed to keep the interior, but insist they removed the shell and the upper cabinet for reworking. So, temporary, there will be an opening up to the ceiling and to the left-right wall. Such a regret to see in the whole house.

The wash room in master bedroom.

Kid's room. The upper part of the closet (on the right hand side) needs to be reworked too.

The wash room for kids and guests.

The guest room...

The lower part can be flipped over and become a 3 ft bed when in used. Other time, we can store small items in the interior shelf.

The view of guest room from clear window.

We shall see how the house will look like after moving in more stuffs later....Boy, I love my new house!
